suggestion to FOD
i think it would be a good idea to make fod more interesting if we had to like book a table lmao just a suggestion not to say it will go through lmao :D

please post if u think its good or if its not a very good idea :D ty
maybe there could only be a certain number of tables for the unsubcribed as we subscribers do pay for our game :D
yup i think FOD should look into this suggestion ty liam
what if when u subscribe you could get the option to customize your very own table ie cloth colour, the balls could b yellow n red and also the option to customize the rules for your table so if someone challenges you they got to accept your rules which could include bo3 last pocket, nominate pocket . will never happen but would be cool if it did
ye but if u had the option to change colour of balls y u have red and yellow y not less obvious colours?:D ...........and as goes for the bo3 option tht has its own protest ty :D but it would be a gr8 idea for fod to look into in the future. And.....why is it every time there is a system tourney about to happen every ones ratings in diff rooms r invisible?.....OPERATOR u need to update it quickly its getting to be anoyying:) ty
red and yellow are the traditional pub table pool ball colours or at least they are in my neck of the woods .
This is US 8 ball, they always use the traditional ball set as seen on FoD.
How about making things even more interesting? Make ALL the balls on the table the same colour. That would be fun. I wonder what the odds would be for clearing a table.
u imature little baby

please ban this kid
End of the day this is a computer game no need for arguing just sit back chill and have fun.

I wounder if there are going to be some childest commnts to my message lol :)
well said its only a game. its great that people have ideas and i hope for the fod team to take interest.:D
maybe add uk rules table then we see skill not luck what u think ???
en anglais?;\

id agree with the uk rules martin but iv been told numerous times its a usa based pool game so the chances are slim . somethin id like to see introduced tho is possibly a 2 shot penalty on the break if a foul occurs instead of just ball in hand , u get a free shot then your normal shot , could cut out all this nonsense of delibrtly foulin on break
Again, as was said before, most people could run the table easily with two shots.
LMAO, i thought Sir Euans idea ws klass lol. :)
yes dougie but if they wanna make fod better then uk rules need to be introduced cos u can see all the pathetic problems u get with usa rules...i mean no rail when u hit 4 rails first and has no contact with rail after contact with ball...i mean really is this good ?
not having go againt u mind just the usa rules in general
If played properly the US rules are fun. It's supposed to be a more open game, and that rail after object rule stops tuck-ups of the rail.
choice of pub rules and world rules :)?
lmao beppe u didnt read the bit where u hit 4 rails first ??? should be no rail if less than 2 rails used
I did read that Martin, maybe I am not understanding what you said. Please clarify.
i mean how can usa rules be good if u can be snookered and hit 4 rails to escape and hit your ball but cos no contact with rail after hitting ball its a foul...now how is that good...and also whats with putting the ball anywhere on table why not just 2 shots then takes skill to get position off 1st or u lose out..anywhere indeed if we were all 10 years old id agree. again not critcising u just the usa rules in general u just got caught up in it
That's what I thought you meant. It's the rules, that's why. If someone laid that a good a snooker - difficult considering the rules - then their reward is that the opponent has to play a very good shot to get out of it.

They are two different games. US pool is an enjoyable challenge for different reasons. At FoD they have chosen to provide a game that is more popular across the world, and hence more likely to attract a user base.
but playing 4 rails would be a good shot..lol i know its the rules thats what the argument is about it be sill having an argument about summit that we didnt know about wouldnt it ?? u ever played uk rules i guess u aint if u think usa rules are any sort of fun..in usa rules u can get punished for playing a good shot not many rules are like that but the usa have managed it great
FlyOrDie can't change rules because you want them changed. There are other people who play this by the way. Only a small percentage play from the UK, why should a worldwide game play by our rules?
>u ever played uk rules i guess u aint if u think usa rules are any sort of fun..
Yes, I have played in various pub leagues around London. I prefer the UK game, but living in North America now I get to play the US version. It is fun, but only when playing someone decent - otherwise it's kind of boring.

>in usa rules u can get punished for playing a good shot
It's not a good shot if you don't achieve what is needed ;)
surely hitting your ball is enough from 4 rails is all im saying...and wizard if u come on FOD around 10 am uk time IE:- when uk players are in school u dont see many players higher than a 5 ball... but when 6 pm uk time comes around its full of top players. so surely the best players get a say ?? i totally disagree that there are a small number of uk players. theres loads...most people on here r from uk u will find. and i aint alone almost everyone in 8 ball agrees that uk rules be better..i mean come on if u snookered and u play outa it, hitting 4 rails and hitting your ball, u get penalised if u dont hit rail after hitting your ball...cos if im not stupid the idea of the game is to hit your ball???? so why get punished its pathetic.
and wizard u can always get in room 1 during uk day time..u try about 6 pm uk time if u not subbed u aint got a hope top 5 rooms are always full now but never during uk school time...strange aint it maybe its cos its mostly uk players.
Let's put this into perspective Martin... how often do you need to play a 4 rail shot to get out of a snooker? I can't remember having to do this more than a couple of times in over 800 games.
ive done it few times. i think rules should be no rail if used less then 3 rails first ..thats all i wanted to say in beggining..
uk rooms be good too with uk rules. then can be a choice rather than a debate
I know, many people would welcome this. BUT... this would take away from 8-Ball, which could make the popularity fall. FoD would have to assess (a) the benefits of programming a new game and (b) the effect on the user base and hence the advertising revenues. Like yourself, I think it would be good if these things worked out.
>but never during uk school time

Wrong. If I'm ever off school and come on here, the top 5 rooms are ALWAYS full. And, everyone you ask? Do you ask people in the foreign language rooms? I play mostly UK players, but I choose to do this. I have nothing against other countries it just seems that it's the UK player that talk more bs, and I like to challenge the arrogant.
ive been off work for last 8 weeks.. and i play this almost every day and i can tell u pmsl that top 5 rooms aint no where near full. all people do is moan theres no one to play cos noone is high enough for them
see you monday 10 am ill prove it to u
I don't need to be shown anything. I've seen it before. BTW, some people have better things to do at 10am on a Monday morning.
At 10:00bst it's like what? 5am in New York (guess), 2am on the West Coast? Obviously the busiest time is when both the UK and US are online, which tends to be around the UK evening hours.
pmsl wizard if thats the case how u know then ?
