ONLINE FLYORDIE RATING CALCULATOR
Try the
Online
 version of the
Flyordie Rating Calculator
. It tells you what your rating will be after a match, depending on whether you win or lose. You'll be able to select players which will give you the amount of points you desire (if you win.) All you need to do is type in your rating, and your opponent's, and the calculator works everything out.

Go to
http://www.fodcalc.tk
 and click on
'Online Version.'
There, you'll be able to try the Rating Calculator for yourself. BTW, its 100% free!
Can you open your forum again it was so fun :D.
Ah, a product designed for runners I see. Why not display the results of more than one game, or are you STILL intellectually challenged? This "product" was poor before, and I see it hasn't changed.
All ya got to do is prompt user for number of games and multiply the constant
K
 (32) by
2-(1/2^(n-1))
, pretty simple.

Snipe
Its easy to work out two wins in a row, or two losses in a row, but it gets complicated when you try to work out what your rating will be after a win/loss/win, or loss/win/win or loss/win/loss etc. It's not a simple as you think.
May I inquire as to which computer language you are using to write this.
so basically if we wanna know the scorin to wanna play race to 10 n have a win win loss loss win win blah de blah .. we boogered!! :p lol .. sorry .. bit of xmas cheer there :D
what rating system does flyordie use?
ok i found it:

Rating system
Based on the rating system developed by Prof. Árpád Élõ
It is an absolute rating system, i.e. the rating can be used to determine the winning odds of a specific player against another specific player. The system has been worked out according to statistical and probability theory.
The rating is an integer, the minimum is 0. The starting rate of an unknown player is 0.

 Rating difference Probability of win
0 0.50
100 0.64
200 0.76
400 0.91
800 0.99

Ratings are amended each time you finish a game, by adding or subtracting a small amount from your previous rating value. The amount added or subtracted depends on the result of the game and the rating of the players.
Calculation

The following formula is used:

Rn = Ro + K(W-We)
Rn is the new rating.
Ro the old (pre-event) rating.
K a constant (32 for 0-2099, 24 for 2100-2399, 16 for 2400 and above).
W the score in the event - i.e. for a single match win=1; draw=0.5; loose=0.
We the expected score (Win Expectancy), from the following formula:
We = 1/ (exp10(-dr/400) + 1)
dr equals the difference in ratings.

This formula has the property that the sum of the rating changes is zero. It turns out that if the rating difference is more then 719 points, then if the strong player wins, there is no change in either rating.

Overall ratings are decreased each day by an amount depending on the current rating.

The following formula is used:
Rn = ( Ro * Ro ) / 125000
Rn is the new rating.
Ro the old (previous day) rating.

Rating Amount subtracted
below 500 1
600 2
800 5
1000 8
1500 18
2000 32

So players with higher rating will see their rating decrease quicker.
A 500 rating will reach zero in approximately 1.5 years without playing.

Series of games

Playing a series of games against the same opponent within a given time interval will adjust the calculation as follows:
The expected score is calculated for the series of games from the pre-match rating-difference of the two players, and the ratings are amended based on the expected score and the actual score of the series of games.
These are basically the extensions of the above calculation for more games played.
However, as more matches will reflect the skill difference more precisely, the amendment is raised based on the number of games played.

Number of games in
a series of games Maximum
rating change
1 16
2 24
3 28
4 30
5 31
infinite 32

In other words the constant K in the above equations is multiplied by a factor of 2-(1/2^(n-1)), where n is the number of games played.

Note that if you play a 3rd player in between playing the same opponent, it will still be treated as a series of games.

thats the way flyordie calculate the rating so now you know how to why don't you try and update your fodcalc and stop spamming everywhere.
thats not my work lol thats flyordies explanation of their rating system
hmmm .. i woke up half hr after i started readin that!! :p
i used to & it gave me the wrong rating half the time...
So what you are saying Mr. 27 is that you often use FoD Calc - which means you just play single games. It doesn't suprise me to hear that you are a runner ;)
no,but i do alwyas use it,i just use it for the first game though, thats why i want there to be a multiple one.
I Prefer the old fashioned method....wait until the game is over and then look how many points u just won

Much simpler :D:D:D
I have to disagree with u on there Veriac. Its something to do in between shots, (see what your score will be), and it lets you choose the players that will get you a certain number of points.

> I used to and it gave me the wrong rating all the time

Don't diss da fodcalc! It's probably cos u used it after your first game (it only works for the first game in a series) - not for bo3s.
m\kes me sound like a runner:|:$
Do u use the online version or the downloaded version? There is and online version btw, (there's nothing to download and its free.)
