HELLO FELLOW TANKERS: CAN some of the hotshots pass on techniques to help players who can kill with the best of them, but need a few new technique in the defensive department. Most players know various moves, but would like to hear some other techniques to help stay alive. This is not only for myself, but for others who ask this question of me. I think passing helpful information to players makes only a more challanging and interesting game. THE SNAKE

OK , THIS IS FOR A BEGINNER , WHEN YOUR OPPONENT IS MOVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE HE IS EASIER TO KILL TRY AND CALCULATE YOUR SHOTS BY USING ROCKETS OR NUKES AND FIRE THEM INFRONT OF THE TANK NOT ON THE TANK ITSELF BECAUSE IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT , YOU ARE REALLY JUST GOING TO MISS
SO FIRE AHEAD OF YOUR OPPONENTS TANK
ALways stay on the move a still target is a dead target. Its al so good to keep moving because it can annoy and distract your opponents and maybe keep them stopped. I will tell more next time.
Some really good players have a great "dance".... some like to move forward a few spaces... stop then go backwards one space.... sort of like a Cha cha cha( for those that know that one).... other one I like is the go Left then right move....I guess the object is to be UN-predictable in your movements.......ME......I'm JUST LUCKY

List of ideas for good defence. 1. Keep moving. 2. Be unpredictable in your moves. 3. Gather ammo. 4. Destroy health targets if your opponent needs them. 5. Get proper training from a good player or the "holy button" (the help button). 6. If you and your opponent are shooting back and forth try to keep the missles coliding, sure your not hitting your opponent, but your not getting hit either, just hope you have more ammo. 7. Keep friends close. 8. Stay behind mountains if opponents better than you are on the other side. (No one looks at the map anymore) 9. Try to get armour and Power they together will make you red. 10. Try to get the excelerator it will make you faster than your opponents.
The best way to develope a good defense is to watch those that already have a good one! Not only will you develope a good def. but you will also know that persons movements and possibly be able to fight or even defeat them in the future. I have always told people that going into a heated battle isn't the best way to learn. Go into a new OPeration or into one of the other forums(mars desert etc.) to develope more moving tactics and try the practice rounds to get better on the shooting. Lead the opponent like your throwing a football...(they are going out for a bomb:)) I haven't seen Spoiler around in a while but he is a good one to watch for defensive movements... Tank!

a good player:( I have obsereved some of the best. ;) For example most of the time Panco Villa will move in short zig zag patterns. When bigdognuke and FordTx find the arrow that speeds you up they will hit and run. They will not stay in one area. They will move the entire length of the map firing on players as they pass. Taliban is sneaky ]:)He will try to engage you in chat. This only done to distract you. One has to be a good typest to do this. I think that he may type a message after he has been killed, and then sends it after he is in a battle.Another player I like to watch is harry dog wg. He seems to plan every nove he makes, he knows where the power ups are. All the other players do too but he sems to find them befroe any one else.If you of coarse get the shield that is the time to engage in close heavy battles. It seems like if a plyer has got to the

power up the best thing is to shoot at opponets from a distant.:D When I see a tank in front of me and it is moving away from me I will fire a little in front of him. Also I put my move click (left mouse click)right where his is at that moment. This usualy good for two shots. Then I set up a zig zag pattern because if he is a good player he will turn around and I want ot be out the way of his fire.;\ As the other two players said always keep moving. As soon as you come back into a game move your tank, and then look around. Like I said I am not a good player. I guess it has to do with how much time you are on the battle field and your desire to be good. I don't realy care about points or rank I just like to play. See you on the battle field. Mr. BluzeB-)
the best defense is a fast computer....video cards,fast processor, good connection,etc...whatever you're able and willing to obtain. Then you will be able to dance with the varsity squad instead of being on the JV squad like so many of us......the coach put me on the bench.....Agree with the above tactical comments (ol spoiler is a fancy dancer) but ya gotta have a fast machine at this gig kids. All the big guns do. I'll be in the corner with my pencil cup.... donations appreciated.
Don't let yourself get killed. If you want to be like the bigshots, you'll start operations often, so as to have the first oportunity to get all the stuff... then either leave after the stuff wears off, or don't respawn until the accelerator and shield are about to reappear. The poor shmucks out there trying to play the game won't really even see you coming... ;)
One trick i use is when i see a bad hombre heading for me i run and try and get the other side of a hill and let him chace me and try to keep a medium distance. Chances are that the guy chasing you will get into a fight with another tank wait a few seconds then double back and with any luck you can take out both of the half dead tanks.
like just lucky i have made up a dance you have to hold the control key and click all around you and you can keep going when those are undoing
I dont really know what i do. . . i've never been able to actully look at the way i move from a different veiw, but i just click anywhere, not to rapidly, so that i can keep myself from getting hit
A lot of good suggestions here but a few of them are revolving around points instead of becoming a good player! ex. running, staying at a distance, leaving the battle and coming back after the two others are almost dead! If you want to become better, you have to ingage in close combat...once you have obtained better fighting skills, then you can fine tune your strategy. Then, you will be the ones that are being ran from and the ones that people leave the game away from! Have a good weekend! Tank!
What tank4hire says is true but, i'v been playing for about a year and i will never have the close combat skills that some of the guys out there have. But i do know this, there are cheap tactics that a less skilled player can use to take out even the best of these dudes.
