Obituaries Reversi/Othello
Hello dear Reversi community,

I am sending these obituaries in behalf of a fellow Reversi/Othello player, please take a moment for some sad news:

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Anuar Haddad Jr. @salimbr2, an Othello player whose passion for the game was inspiring to us all. He not only played Othello but also shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with the community, helping to promote the game and nurture new players.
His presence at tournaments always brought a positive energy and a spirit of healthy competition. He will be remembered for his strategic skill, his friendship, and his commitment to the game he loved deeply.
Our community misses Anuar and extends its condolences to his family and friends. May his legacy live on through the game he loved so much and may his memory be honored by us all.
Rest in peace, Anuar. You will always be remembered with fondness and admiration.
Please feel free to share a memory, or anything you might like about this great man.
He was a true gentleman.

Sadly two others passed:

“njscrubs” passed about 9 months ago. Nj was usually a Red Grandmaster. He was one of the funniest men at FlyOrDie Reversi. He was gracious and kind. He welcomed us to visit his games and to chat most of the time. Sometimes at the endgame, he'd Mute us to concentrate. He and magicman0 were dear friends who challenged each other with wit and humor. He tried endlessly to beat magic. Sometimes he succeeded, which was most difficult since Dave had played this game most of his life and early on in his journey. “njscrubs” was a doctor, a great man. He loved his expensive bottles of wine. He lived free, and for him, "To thine self." was a way of life! he died of Covid. i suspect he caught it from his patients at the hospital. I will always miss him. He remains in my memory fondly.
May he rest in peace!

I think that i should mention the passing of „3amcoffee“ as well. i love him and he me. We'd be on Skype video every day for countless hours. We sent each other cards and presents. His first nickname had THC in it, when the MOD asked him if it meant weed, he’d answered honestly, "Yes," and it was banned.
He was an excellent player who taught me much about the game and life. He loved animals so much that he was a vegetarian. His sister Hazel survived him.
I feel if there's a heaven, we will all touch souls there. I hope that we all reunite in some way someday with Othello in the sky!
God bless all.

Hello SkaldGuard,

It is very sad to learn of the death of people who, through their kindness, knowledge, kindness and especially through their respect for the international community, have left their exemplary mark on a large part of the site.
You yourself have provided a testimony that gives an edifying image of the morality and honesty of these players and we thank you for it.
Not having had the chance to know them and out of respect,
I extend my sincere condolences to the families and their loved ones.

Peace to their souls
