Nickname Reuse
I recently changed my nickname and a few days later I see my former nickname being used by another player. Now this nick is permanently banned. I wouldn't have changed it if I knew, that some weirdo would grab my former nick and start insulting players left and right.
Hi,
so nicknames are not protected generally, but we have Site Rules:

1. Nicknames
Players at FlyOrDie can register their nickname to prevent others from using that nickname.
You must not choose a nick which (including those that in any way look like, sound like, stand for, hint at, abbreviate, or insinuate any of the following)

1.1. is similar to another nick already existing on the FlyOrDie forum or games.
1.2. is an obscene expression or graphics.
1.3. incites hatred on the basis of race, nationality, gender, sexuality, religion, political view or other personal characteristic..
1.4. refers to body parts or sexuality.
1.5. is abusive by profanity or used to harass.
1.6. calls to or applies to unlawful action.
1.7. is a form of advertising.
1.8. indicates that you are an employee or representative of FlyOrDie.
1.9. interferes other's reasonable interests.

No context spelling of any offensive matter to slide by our rules. All such names will be deleted and made unregistrable. Please remember to keep your Username clean, fun and free from any wordplay that would be considered offensive to any community member.

Apart from that just some nicknames are protected:
1- all current moderators and admins nicknames
2- repeated nicknames to bother the original owner

We have like, e.g. 20 Judd Trump in billard, which is a common name there. We go lenient with rule 1.1., as long as nothing happens.

Have a good day
❤️

Hi

Please look carefully at the player what has taken over your name. Normally he or she is not allowed to take over a name. There is the option of copying the nickname with a drawing or a blank drawing. Previously it was not allowed to use the same name on Flyordie
Hi,

Yes, I checked the name. It's identical. If you go to account settings and change your nickname from "King of the best" to something else, then "King of the best" will be available for others to use. Which wouldn't be a problem, if it wasn't for the weirdos I described above.
Hi Chess 2025

That's annoying for you. After the introduction of name changes at Flyordie, it said that you would get your original name back after 1 year. That's why I also changed my subscription nickname. As I read in Skald Guard's reply, anyone can now use my original name and play at Flyordie. That doesn't comply with Flyordie's rules. In the case of insults, moderators must react immediately. The wrong player has definitely not just used the wrong name "once". At Checker we always find people who constantly insult other players (most wrong players are here for over 16 hours a day) and then make false statements about players who play fair play. I also got black points for 2 days because you can't write certain words in the chat, e.g. Sauer = angry ?You are angry I wanted to write in German.in chat I had to write bist du Sau-er ? because the assistant moderator could not speak German he translated the two words in English you pig
