I was expecting his demerit to be gone by now.  I suppose the demerit length is determined by the offense committed.

Nope, no demerits for me.  (If only because I don't hang around in chat too much!)

The meaning of my message is that Slim is missing from the XP toplist and I'm enjoying the resulting temporary promotion up the ladder.
