here's the greatest help you'll ever get (because newbies ask that question so much, no one will tell you anything other than this):
1. search this forum (especially locked posts)
2. read help file
3. explore and find out (after all, this is a game of discovery and exploration!)

ok, i was wrong, someone did feel like replying to tell you how you can make money.  but odds are if you don't even know that, you won't know what "finishing missions" or "trading" or even "selling" means... so read the help section, and go through the guided tour of larkinor.
