Hey, i was wondering if it would be better to make the spin more realistic on this game e.g. wen the object ball is distant from the cue ball you shouldn't be able to screw back that much. And also swerve:D Any ideas about this?
Realistic Spin

yes good idea, and when the ball is safe (cue ball is very closed to the bank) u can only use top spin (like in real snooker)...
If Vexxed can play a full table shot and spin the ball backwards 4 table lengths on a full size US 8 ball table under normal conditions, I'd give him or her 100 USD.
Speaking of a camera on the corner, I think that would be a great idea! Maybe Fod can implement a few different camera angles, each one placed on each pocket so as to allow for those replays like on TV. Oh and yeah, I think the swerve idea would make the game more interesting as well. I also find that masse shots would be another good thing as well as jump shots. I believe over the course of time, Fod might consider these things. I don't think that all these changes will happen in the next few days tho. But ya never no 4 sho.
GOOD1 caption , cuz it can b done , its all wut u know about ball control , and if you know your gm like i do, you dont even have to use full force to do it;)
and beppe ,if you shoot the cue ball with heavy bottom against the nap of the cloth, the cue ball will spin much further back , try it ;) and also it depends on the type of cloth u have , some r very fast others r very slow
well beppe i tried to do 4 banks on my sons table last nite , but only got 2 and a half, but his table is only press board under the cloth, not slate, so its a lil slower than a real official table....;)but it can b done, trust me i know, i used to play pro many yrs ago 1981-82 canadian snooker champion and i have the speed pool record also, 15 balls in 32.6 seconds on a 8 bl table record made on april 17th 1997 and videod
15 balls in 32 seconds I believe. 4 banks up and down - starting with the object ball almost full length away - still not convinced ;)
beppe it can b done , all depending on how fast the table is, but u do have a point,FOD should fix that lil prob and make it a lil more realistic as far as ball controll goes, like maby they could add masse so you can curve around a ball to get out of snookers, i use masse alot to curve balls in real pool , i dont c why they dont add that option
im going 2 agree wit all of u the spin shud b betta than it is all though i like wot u did wit the fine-aim. n yes all it talkes iz practice;):)

under normal conditions
, I'd give him or her 100 USD. Speed cloths, extra thin tips, different balls, these don't count. I still don't believe it can be done by anyone here. Vexxed tried and managed 2 rails, and he claims to have been a pro snooker player. I am pretty decent at pool (nowhere near pro level though) and I know I can't do it. Try it, capture it on a digital camera if you can repeat then post it on the net somewhere (or I'll make up an email for you to post it to).
i give up beppe , i tried over 40 times at a pool hall near me on a pro 9 ball table and best i cnn do is 2 and a bit and the table is one of the fastest tables ive ever played on, and now the funny part of all this is that every1 at that hall is tryin it now and there gona make it into a compitition. every time a person tries it at our hall , they have to put 10 cents into a jar and the person who does 4 rails gets what ever is in the jar lol, i think theres gona b alot of dimes in that jar after a wile lol
in case that some ppl havent understand it,beppe doesnt mean that u cant screw back the cue ball 4 tables generally, but only when the object ball is on the one side and the cue ball on the other of the table. i think i agree on beppe on this... :)
Vexxed - you are a breath of fresh air in this forum. Thank you for trying to back up what you have to say, and for admiting that for the moment you may be wrong. I respect the way you approached this. Let us know if someone wins those dimes!
wow, good sportsmanship ;)and great going vexxed - what an unbelievable performance :O 2 and a bit from one end of table to other, great achievement in itself. ;) P.S shame vexxed didnt do it though, id have loved to see Beppe give away 100 USD lol :p
