the only way you could stop that would be if after a foul break they had to retake break and after say 3 foul breaks they lost...
I agree with Beppe Re: Snooker. Quintin Hann occassionally hits the cushion before the pack and that is not disallowed or frowned upon. [img=

I think that at least 4 balls must hit the rail in pool, although you are still allowed rail before ball. In snooker no such rule exists, and for a good reason - it's a tactical game, and it's up to the individual to determine the style they wih to impose. You always have to right to smack 'em after if you want an open game.
Beppe is right, a foul is a foul, whether or not you dont like the fact that they have fouled in that way doesnt matter, it is still a foul. I see no point in changing the rules just because you find it annoying.
I don`t understand why fod can`t make a "normal" break rule like in the real game. ie. no cushion b4 the first ball and that maybe at least 1 or 2 balls must hit a cushion. The no cushion b4 1st ball should also definately apply to snooker!!! ж2σξзж
Not cheating just bad sportsmanship. I don't understand why they tap it anyway. Darn well pathetic to say the least...
No it doesn't. You can move the white then tap it against the pack and off onto the furthest rail. If you don't wish to break the pack open, keep the balls together and have a tactical game.
It's not cheating. Nowhere in US 8 ball rules does it state that you cannot foul - just that the opponent will have ball in hand if you do. So if they make a foul break, you get ball in hand. Woohoo, problem solved.
well firegirl that rule has already been implemented since monday or sth like that, but it still wont stop the cheaters if they dont mind fouling:)(and most of em dont:p)
lolol, i can relate! I seen that too many times indeed! Maybe Fod can put a ruling that a player must be able to break the balls enough that at least 4 or 5 of them must hit a rail. I dunno, just a thought.
