Dear Moderators,
You've got to fix the server issues. I keep having games lose connection, and it counts as losses against me, and the other players show as a "win" against me. I'm about to move on from playing this game if I keep "losing" on account of server disconnect. Please fix this issue so I can continue to play the game.

Understanding Disconnections & Your Game Data

We took a closer look at your last 96 games in Checkers. Our records indicate that you had 5 disconnections not in your favor, and 8 disconnections that were in your favor (meaning your opponent disconnected). This means that, in terms of disconnections, you've actually gained points overall rather than consistently losing them due to server disconnects.

Disconnections in online gaming are complex and often stem from factors beyond our immediate control. As we've mentioned many times on the forum, issues can arise from your network stability (internet service provider, Wi-Fi, mobile data) or outdated browsers/devices.

Why This Happens & Our Ongoing Efforts

We want to reiterate some key points about why these disconnections occur, even as we continue to improve our systems:

⦿ Secure but Complex: Our site uses HTTPS for secure connections, but this can lead to disconnections on unstable or weak networks (e.g., mobile data, public Wi-Fi) or with older devices/browsers.

⦿ Difficult to Trace Errors: When you see "Lost Connection," we only receive a general notice, not a detailed error message. These often stem from network problems, outdated browsers, or conflicts with HTTPS encryption. Without specific details on your device, browser, or network, it's very difficult for us to pinpoint the exact cause.

🚨 Please remember that we are actively transitioning our game site to an entirely new technical architecture. This is a massive, ongoing project that takes significant time and resources, as it involves rebuilding and optimizing core systems to improve overall performance and stability.

We are continuously working to improve connection stability: We're actively optimizing our servers to make HTTPS connections more robust, and we're exploring technologies like Cloudflare to reduce latency and improve global connectivity. We're also building new diagnostic tools to detect and address errors more quickly.
