Hey,

always up to give teaching games, hit me up if you want to play one. I can help you with various topics, direction of play, tactics, good and bad shapes, etc.
We can play under the "unrated games" room, so your rank won't be affected by a loss.

Cheers

That’s a great initiative, ChillPlayer. Offering to teach players is a brilliant way to support the Go community and help players level up without pressure.

Thanks again for sharing, offers like yours make the community stronger.

I completely agree. That said, it would be really helpful if Flyordie could implement a few features :

- Let us download the SGF from our games records. Sometimes, due to disconnections or closing the game window too quickly, you lose the opportunity to review your game.

- Let us go through our games after it's finished, by allowing us to use back and forth arrows to go over the game and the moves we played. That is essential to a good teaching. Even better, a review system where you can suggest variations would be awesome. Most new players must see the variation "visually" rather than having them explained by coordinates.

- Hide the chat to the players. This would be a great feature really. Observers would be able to discuss the game live, and stronger players can answer their questions, without spoiling the player's game. In most games, I'm very tempted to explain the beginners and intermediate players "you see, if black/white doesn't add a move here or there, their group will die" and explain why. But like I said, I can't comment on anything publicly, because players would see it as well.

These are 3 major upgrades to make Flyordie's Go more appealing to players. There are more, obviously, but these 3 are sine qua non conditions to developping Go on the server.

Hope you can help us have the devs examine my suggestions. Much love.
