Hi,

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the dice rolls and player markings in Checkers. It's a topic that comes up from time to time, and we appreciate you raising it so we can clarify how things work on FlyOrDie.

Computer Program Use and the "❗" Mark

On FlyOrDie, for board games like Checkers, using a computer program to decide your moves is allowed.

The crucial part is the "❗" mark you see on a player's info screen. This isn't a sign of "cheating" in the sense of breaking the rules. Instead, it's our system's way of informing other players that this particular account is suspected of using program assistance.
Our rules state: "FlyOrDie members have the right to know if they are playing against a computer. Therefore FlyOrDie uses a system... to detect suspected program use, which will be indicated on the concerned player's info screen with a small icon [the '❗']".

So, when you see that "❗", it means transparency. You, as the opponent, are made aware that you're playing against someone who might be using a program. Because this information is transparently displayed, it's not considered "cheating" in the prohibitory sense. Players can then choose whether they want to play against such marked accounts or not.

🎲 Why Dice (Dots) Increase for Marked Players
Given that using a program with declaration (which is what the "❗" signifies) is allowed according to our rules, the increase of "dots" on a player's dice is simply a reflection of their activity and performance within the allowed framework of the game.

The dice "dots" (which are an "Oldtimer Score" or similar progression system) are generally tied to:

❇️ Number of games played: The more games, the more progress.

❇️ Time spent on the site: Loyalty and consistent presence.

❇️ Playing by the overall site rules: Avoiding bans or demerits for actual unsportsmanlike conduct.

Since playing with a program (when marked) is within our specific rules for board games, their progress in terms of "dots" or score is handled like any other active player. It's not a "reward for cheating" but simply a reflection of their engagement and wins under the declared use of a program, as per the site's unique rules.

We understand this might feel counter-intuitive if you associate program use with traditional "cheating" in other gaming contexts. However, on FlyOrDie, we've set up a system to allow it with full transparency, giving players the choice.

We hope this clarifies why you see the dice increasing for players marked with the "❗" icon.

Hi,

Ty for responding.
But why dont they give the crown to marked players then anymore, which did like awhile ago still, while they do the dice still if not sure that they might use program?
My system detects like that 99% uses program in checkers, i can verify if someone "beats" other programmers, amount of points, and by the moves they make, therefore its almost impossible still to play here.
Also want to say that like 15 nicks regularly beat high ranks (by using program) and then pyt there score low again, by giving them points for free away, that higher ranks lose more points to low ranks, which can check / verify by amount of moves and match time in their info, and they do each time again to frustrate the higher ranked players, that their fun, to sabotage the game.
I can provide a list of them also which did sent few days ago already to moderation.
