Hello, This is the latest attempt at a topic that has been debated for several years now. Who made FlyOrdie's worst decision to block the loss of daily points for each player? I say this because we've arrived at a site where the rankings are pointless; they're always blocked by players who have no interest in playing since they're already ranked first. Perhaps we should find a happy medium because, apart from blocking the interest and motivation of a large number of players, we don't address anything else. Do you have any other suggestions/alternatives? I'd also like to add to that the topic, which has been repeated for several years now: ECO SETTINGS? We're always losing players. There are a few of us like me who come and play a few games when we're bored so we don't lose our skill level when it's updated, but I have the impression/I don't think it's an impression anymore that we literally don't care about the players' opinions. Anyway, I don't want to be unpleasant, I'll stop there. PS: COMMUNICATION IS IMPORTANT. WE SEE A REAL DESIRE FROM MOD/ASSISTANTS AND MODERATORS TO COMMUNICATE. The current system was put in place for specific reasons, but we definitely see its downsides, especially for highly ranked players. The Admin Team is planning to review the entire rating system as a part of the upcoming architectural switch. ECO Settings & Site Development: Here's the Roadmap You're right, the ECO settings (and other game-specific tweaks) have been a recurring topic. We hear your request loud and clear. Here's the plan: We've actually kicked off the Beta for Bowling, and it's making solid progress. Once that's stable, we'll start the switch to the new site architecture game by game, beginning with Chess. When Billiards gets its turn in this process, the ECO settings will absolutely be aligned and adjusted as part of that big update. It's not a standalone quick fix right now because it's deeply tied to this larger, more complex architectural overhaul. We know it feels like a waiting game, but these foundational changes take serious time and effort to implement correctly across the entire platform. Communication & Where the Admins/Devs Are You also mentioned communication, and I completely agree, it's crucial. The Senior Mods are often the main bridge between the community and the Admins/Developers, and we genuinely try our best to keep you informed. Regarding the Admins and Developers: They're absolutely present, but their primary focus is on the deep technical development and big-picture strategy of the site, especially with the ongoing architectural overhaul. This means their direct communication to the community often happens through me or via official announcements when major updates are ready. Why the big concern about points? Having a large amount of points, or small amount of points is not going to affect your quality of life - so what's the problem? Just enjoy the game, if you win then good for you, if you lose, try and win the next game. Don't let the lose of points define you. I have deliberately lost a game because I couldn't be bothered any more - I don't care about points. And as for the lists, why worry about them. I don't.

Can’t help but agree. The top lists are a joke. The person ranked first plays once a week sometimes a fortnight vs zero rated players In order to not lose points to keep them at the top. Same with pretty much all the players in the top 10, except a few. The fact eco settings still do not work is funny, i remember one of the devs saying near enough at the time it first went down that it would take a few weeks to sort out yet way over a year later still nothing.

The game hasn't been the same for higher rated players and it ruined the competitiveness at the top for a while. I do believe its a good update for the lower rated players, the players who have more to do outside flyordie, but at the top this new system of keeping rating for a week is not the best. Also yes +1 to bringing ecosystem settings back aka. boost power shot.

Didn't anyone ever say that points were important? Everyone has their own vision of the game, meaning some are there for a moment of relaxation and will play two games in their day or week and are happy like that. Others will play more and will enjoy competition / tournaments / a ranking in order to set themselves game goals.
