first of all, losing and drawing is not the same thing but i understand that it can certainly feel that way if you know you had the win in the bag.

Furthermore, it is completely legitimate and respectable for a losing or lower ranking player to make all effort to push, fight, and strive for the win or at least a draw rather than just quitting.

He's right. "fou rire" just hit accept draw when he realized he was going to lose on the next move and after I queened, the game ended in a draw. No stalemate.

I understand your feeling. I sometimes feel as if my opponent is holding back my piece when I see time slipping away and I know I can win.
