I have played a simular game at the local club but we use snooker table with pockets.
Each player has there own cue ball one white one yellow and a single red as the object ball.
The points system we use is 2pts for hitting the red and oponents cue ball in one shot i.e the cannon.
potting the red 3 points, potting oponents cue ball 2 points.
Souring your own cue ball off the red gets 3 and off the oponents cue ball gets 2.
We normally play first to 100 points but I've seen others playing with a time limit, I believe its one of the first cue sports ever invented and is simply called billiards or english billiards. Im sure youll be able to find a more indepth explanation of the rules on the internet.
Im not sure if this is the same game youre talking about but Im always up for more billiards games on this site, even if the new ones dont seem to be getting as many players as the old classics...
