Ability to Select amount of ends
It would be nice to be able to select the amount of ends in a full game. Like 2 ends, 4, 6, 8, 10 ends or as many as you want, like now.

In this system for 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10 ends your ranking would not be changed until the completion of the amount of ends that both players agreed on. This way just like real curling, if you decide to leave a game because of a bad end, you lose(your ranking goes down, winners goes up)... just like shaking before the last end is played. It would add a new dynamic to the game, make it more like real curling. The way the game is now, people don't play to win the game, the just play to win an end... If they miss a shot they leave, and if they make a shot for a big end they leave, so they don't have to give up hammer and lose the points they gained... Allowing people to set the number of ends and not changing the rankings until completion(negative rating if game is left before completion) i think would really add to this wonderful game.
Hi Casey
From Craig of Madison CC.
The different rooms could be different games.
room 1: 2 enders
room 2: 4 enders
room 3: 8 enders
etc.
Great suggestion with preset number of ends in each room.
It would really improve this beautiful game
Agreed. Great idea.
OK that's 3 people who have voted. Let's keep it going.

Agreed - I just joined today and had two games ended early - not fun

Settings ends before you start - great idea

Leave early - you conceed the game - you lose

This game is cool but the some players just don't get it...
great idea
room 1, 2 ends game
room 2, 4 ends game
etc...
I agree 100%. Playing in here is so frustrating sometimes! Players that leave the game just so they can either increase their points or not lose any points have no idea of what curling is really all about. In real curling, if a team wants to concede the game they quit and the other team wins the game. A team's total points does not change until the game is over. In here, the points change on every end. That's the problem. The programmers need to make it so the points don't change until either the game is completed, or the points change when one of the player leaves before the game is completed. The player who leaves the game does not get any points at all, and the player who stays, gets all their points. That would stop people from playing one or two ends and leaving.
bump this!

Any chance for this EVER getting implemented?
Genius!!! I hope this gets implemented!!
I agree, it is getting too frustrating. I could actually care less about my rating I just like the game of curling. I think the best idea is rating points change only after the end of a preset agreed upon number of ends at the challenge point. The problem with using room numbers meaning preset number of ends is that the runners will still just come in there grab the points and take off early.
This is a no-brainer, really. People who leave after one end to pad their stats are an embarrassment to the spirit of curling. That said, sometimes people have to leave to go somewhere, or the comp freezes, so pre-set ends are a terrific idea.

C'mon guys, please make the adjustments so that this can become the best game on the internet. It's already terrific in terms of gameplay, but it won't reach its real cult favourite potential without working out these kinks.
I wholeheartedly agree with you. That would make curling players take the game more seriously and would give the chance for a person who's losing that end to come back the following end. The real game is supposed to be played in ten ends, not a single one like many players do. Another important aspect is the rating total. It's pretty confusing.

It is possible for our subscribed members to set the number of ends for each match.

OP
And quite frankly, in the future anyone can set the number of ends. I can and so can everyone else! But great idea about different end rooms!:)
