If you want to improve your game, You should play less blitz chess and start playing long games or very long games such as correspondence chess(chesshere.com). Join a local chess club perhaps.

If you are a beginner i suggest you study Tactics first and Endgame. Do not worry much about the opening. I prefer books rather than the interner or other sources for improving my game.

Remember,
Slow and steady wins the race. Kramnik,Kasparov and Anand are the best chess blitz players in the world. Why do you think they are so fast? Is it because they start playing FAST or SLOW?
